About Be Well and Meagan Faraone
Asking for help is a courageous act that shows great strength and desire for change. I have seen so many people silently and painfully carry their burdens by themselves, feeling isolated and trapped in their struggles. Life was not something we were meant to journey through alone and sometimes inviting someone into your story, through therapy, can be incredibly helpful to find your way forward. If you are feeling overwhelmed, defeated, numb, or struggling to find hope, please know you don’t have to go through this time alone.
I’m Meagan and as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, my hope is to help you better understand yourself and your relationships in ways that will create change that matters to you. Though I enjoy working with a wide array of individuals, I specialize in work related to adoption and attachment, loss and grief, and disordered eating and body image. My practice is informed by a number of therapeutic models so I can provide an integrated approach that engages you, your experiences, and society as a whole in the work we do together.
Building trust and safety in the therapeutic relationship is always the bedrock of my work. This process can take longer with children and teenagers as many of them are resistant to the idea of being brought to therapy and find it intimidating or unnecessary. My primary goal with them is to create a safe space where they can explore their thoughts and feelings, in their time, and on their terms. I utilize art, play, storytelling, and other means of therapeutic expression to help them process their experiences and share their feelings.
