About Rhonda Jackson

About Be Well Better and Rhonda Jackson

Being a present and active partner on a client’s healing journey has been at the heart of my clinical practice for over 30 years. A guiding principle of my work is to meet people where they are, to create a safe and collaborative space for exploration and healing. Life can hold deep challenges and struggles. My intention is to help those I work with develop the confidence to know they can face those challenges, and to learn to navigate life with more ease. I see therapy as a partnership, in which together we explore the unique path you have walked and build a toolbox of strategies and insights that promote growth, healing, and resilience.

As a licensed independent clinical social worker, I have had the privilege of working with individuals at all stages of life. I incorporate a blend of treatment approaches that are tailored to each individual, including mindfulness, body awareness, cognitive behavioral, and equine-facilitated. My practice is trauma-informed, and I deeply value cultural competency and inclusion.

My areas of specialty include:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Grief and Loss (Including complex grief)
  • Physical Illness/Pain Management
  • LGBTQ+
  • Trauma

About Rhonda and Equine Psychotherapy

“Adopt the pace of nature, her secret is patience”
                            Ralph Waldo Emerson

When therapy is facilitated by the presence of horses a powerful and healing space is created that fosters growth and enhances resilience. We can practice, in real time, the healthy life skills and perspectives that promote wellness.  Through our connection with horses we learn to shift our relationship with our thoughts, regulate our nervous system and navigate powerful emotions.  We increase  our ability to live life more fully and develop the  confidence to navigate life’s challenges. When therapy occurs in partnership with horses we learn from them and heal through them.

Rhonda is currently taking new clients for Equine Psychotherapy. Please contact us for an appointment or to inquire for more information on these services.
